Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty
Ashton Blaise Whitty, an actress, was born on 1 October, 1995 at Berkeley, California. Her acting credits include Choices 2010, The Heart and Other Small Shapes 2006 and Chrissie Mayr's Content House
Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into the family of actors as well as filmmakers, both occupations which she's been pursuing. Her debut came at the age of nine years old, in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e bisogni (1985). In 1988 the film of Michele Soavi's The Church was directed by Michele Soavi and she played part of the character Cristina Comencini's Zoo. Red Wood Pigeon, directed by Moretti in 1989, featured her character in the role of Nanni Moretti's daughter. Close Friends (1992), directed and written by Michele Placido was the film which launched Asia's career career. It was her first time moving from young girl roles to more mature and complicated roles. This movie received a positive reception during the Cannes International Film Festival. The Phantom of the Opera was her third film with her father. Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome were the two previous films. The Phantom of the Opera The film, made together with her father who passed away and is the final of three films she's acted in. The other two were Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Giuseppe Piccioni employed her deeply absorbed and intense manner of acting in Condannato, a nozze. Patrice Chereau directed her in Queen Margot, where she was a major character. In 1995, her collaboration together with Michel Piccoli, in Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion won her yet another award from David di Donatello and Grolla of Oro. Asia took up directing as profession in 1994. Her first short film was Prospettive. A documentary she wrote about her father and then Abel/Asia (1998), a film which won an award at the Rome Film Festival and was the two films she directed between 1996 and 1998. Asia was the director of her first film in Scarlet Diva (2000). It was a collaborative effort with Asia and screenwriter/actor Linda McCartney. The film premiered on 20 May on the 20th of May in Italy as well as all over the world. It was also released in Brooklyn, New York it received an award from the Williamsburg film festival. Anna Lou was born in 2001 following her directing some music videos. In 2002, Asia starred in The Red Siren with Jean Marc Barr, and Rob Cohen's Action thrille directed with Vin Diesel. Asia is the writer of numerous short stories that have been released in several magazines.
